Airboss Swiss Army Watches

The Airboss Swiss army watch is one of a range of the 'Professional' Victorinox timepieces which is inspired by aviation and all of the watches feature elements which are inspired by the demanding world of timing in aviation.

An 'air boss' is the guy in charge of the deck on an aircraft carrier, situated in whats called an 'eagles nest' high above the landing platform, and they oversees all take-off, landing, and aircraft movements on the war ship.

For an air boss, aircraft tracking, counting down and keeping a close accurate eye on time is essential for the day to day workings of their job, where split second decisions are required to keep the flight deck running in a precise and order manner.

Swiss Made Quality

All Victorinox Swiss Army Watches are made in Switzerland and the Airboss watches range feature mechanical/quartz movements with an 'exhibition' back case so that the quality craftsmanship can be seen by the watch owner.

The Airboss range of Swiss Army Watches is split into five groups which each feature different styling and functionality but all of which are inspired by aviation. Airboss watches are used by the Swiss Air Force and the RAF Falcons which further backs up the Victorinox watch brand's clains of quality and durability.

Airboos Watch Features

Airboss Swiss Army Watches have precision Swiss face movements, a 3 year limited warranty, are authenticated by the Swiss Government and are only sold via quality fine jewellery outlets and watch retailers.

If an Airboss watch has got a Swiss Army, Victorinox or Victorinox Swiss Army on it's dial, then it isn't an authentic Victorinox Swiss Army timepiece as these timepieces are the only watches authorized by the Swiss government to carry the names Swiss Army and Victorinox Swiss Army.

What are the Different Types of Airboss Watch?

The Victorinox Swiss Army Watch comes in a range of timepieces all with reference to the well known aviatiopn term 'Mach' which describes the speed of aircraft and are names after the Austrian philosopher and physicist Ernst Mach (1838-1916). Mach 1 refers to the speed of sound, Mach 2 is twice that and so on.
